GYFTW, which is stranded loose tube light armored outdoor fiber cable. Single Mode Optical Fiber, 250μm, are positioned into a loose tube made of high modulus plastic. The tubes are filled with water-resistant filling compound.

GYFTW, which is stranded loose tube light armored outdoor fiber cable. Single Mode Optical Fiber, 250μm, are positioned into a loose tube made of high modulus plastic. The tubes are filled with water-resistant filling compound. The tube is wrapped with a layer of Corrugated steel tape (PSP) longitudinally. Between the PSP and the loose tube water blocking material is applied to keep the cable compact and watertight. Two parallel steel wire are placed at the two side of the steel tape. The parallel steel wires are placed at the two sides tape, to ensure tensile strength. The aerial optical fibre cable is completed with a single polyethylene (PE) sheath.
